Designed, built and deployed alone. Twice.

The shipped homepage: 窯 posterized to three tones and bleeding off the right trim, KILN set huge in Switzer 900 and coming apart at the baseline under an Atkinson screen, and the studio's one-line sentence set beneath it.

The first version opened on an entrance: a loader that resolved into Hokusai's wave, cut into five planes and poured in over void, driven by a smoothed scroll clock. Nothing below is a picture of it. It left the tree when the entrance retired, and git is the only place it still runs.

It came down anyway. The practice settled on paper: raw type, halftone, no cages. The wave was the best-made thing on the site and the least like it, and keeping it would have meant arguing with every page behind it.

What is here now is the second version: one sheet you read down, and a treatment engine that screens every piece of art on it in the browser, at the size it is seen. The plates below are that second version, captured from the live site rather than rebuilt for a portfolio.

The 目次 menu over the homepage: void ink has flooded the whole sheet from the button it was struck at, and the four rooms are resolving out of an ordered dither field. WORK and PROCESS have landed as clean type; ABOUT and CONTACT are still screened.
