Brand identity.
A brand identity is the set of marks a company is known by, and the written rules that keep them the same wherever they land.

WHAT IS MADE
The mark is drawn rather than assembled, and drawn until it holds at the size of a favicon and at the size of a wall.
The wordmark is set beside it: a face chosen for the name, fitted and spaced by hand to stand with the mark and to stand without it.
Colour is decided as roles rather than as a swatch sheet: each one gets a job it does not swap out of, written down beside the value.
Type is chosen the same way: a face to be seen across a room, a face to be read as a record, and the scale that keeps the two in order.
The rules come last, and they are the half most identities never get: what each part is for and what none of it is allowed to do, written down so the next person to touch the work is not guessing.
IN THE RECORD
The studio's own identity was the first one it made: the name, the sun-disc mark, two reds and two faces, settled before any of it was shown to a client. It is filed in the record with everything it is made of.
HOW IT RUNS
Four steps, in order.
- a
Foundations
What you have, what it is for, and what it has to become, agreed in writing before any drawing. Nothing is drawn against a brief that is still in somebody's head.
- b
The work
It happens in your own portal, from the first sketch to the final file.
- c
Revisions
Each deliverable carries up to two rounds, and what counts as done is measured against the written scope rather than against preference.
- d
The correction
You have ten business days from delivery to name in writing anything material that falls short of the scope, and I correct that at no charge and deliver again. That correction runs once per deliverable; anything past it is a revision.

On full payment the finished work is assigned to you, to use in and around your business. The rest of the paper — what the studio keeps, what it may show, and the two limits that ride with the assignment — is printed in full on the hub.
THE INVESTMENT
$8,000Brand identity commissions begin here.
Scope and fee are agreed in writing before work begins, and the fee is fixed by the scope it is written against. The usual schedule is half on signing, half on delivery.
ASKED AND ANSWERED
How much does brand identity design cost?
Brand identity commissions begin at $8,000. Neither commission is a package and there is no price list above the floor: every one is quoted against the work in front of it, in writing, before anything begins, and the fee is fixed by the scope it is written against. Changing that scope takes a change order both of us sign. The usual schedule is half on signing, half on delivery; the agreement can name a different one, and the schedule it names is the schedule that holds.
How long does a brand identity commission take?
There is no standard calendar, because there is no standard commission. Target dates are set in the written scope at foundations, before anything is drawn, and they are set against what is actually being made. Each deliverable then carries ten business days of review from the day it lands. Late feedback and late materials move the dates day for day.
How many rounds of revisions are included?
Two, on each deliverable, and what counts as done is measured against the written scope rather than against preference. Separately from those rounds you have ten business days from delivery to name in writing anything material that falls short of the scope, and I correct that at no charge and deliver again. That correction runs once per deliverable; anything past it is a revision.
Who owns the logo and the brand files when the work is finished?
You do, on full payment: the finished work is assigned to you, to use in and around your business. Until then nothing transfers. The studio keeps its working files and the directions not taken, and it may show the finished work and name you unless you opt out in writing; work you have not yet made public, it shows only with your written consent. Two limits ride with the assignment: the work is not resold or sublicensed as a product of your own, and it is not used to train machine-learning systems without written consent.
Do I need to buy the typeface licences myself?
Yes, unless the written scope says the studio provides them. The commission chooses the faces and writes down the licence each one needs; the licences are held in your name, because yours is the use they cover. Everything drawn for the commission is assigned to you on full payment: the mark as path data, the wordmark, the lockups, the written rules and every source file behind them.
Do you work with clients outside Utah?
Yes. The studio is based in Utah and the work does not need you to be. Every commission runs in your own portal: the agreement is signed there, the invoices are paid there, and the finished files are handed over there. The paper counts its days in United States business days, measured in Mountain Time, and it is written under Utah law.
